Public HS2 rally details confirmed

MORE details about a public rally on May 8 to inform local people about the Government consultation on HS2 have been announced.

The event to publicise the impact of the proposed high-speed rail link from London to Birmingham will take place on Great Missenden Church of England School playing fields at 2pm.

Organised by HS2 Action Alliance, Chiltern Ridges HS2 Action Group and Great Missenden Stop HS2 Campaign Group, there will be expert speakers, briefings, an information tent, children's entertainment and a cafe.

The sound of the proposed train when the line is running at full capacity will also be aired.

Chesham and Amersham MP Cheryl Gillan has been invited to attend and Cllr Martin Tett, HS2 Action Alliance's Hilary Wharf and Misbourne Valley Action Group campaigner
Shirley Judges (pictured) are expected to speak.
