A MAN arrested in connection with a car collision which left a Prestwood teenager in a coma and her boyfriend dead appeared before police today.
The 25-year-old male, who answered bail, was re-bailed by police until October 20 while investigations continue. He was arrested in May on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after a public appeal by the families of the crash victims.

Power cut closes The Misbourne

A POWER cut has forced The Misbourne School to close and send its pupils home.
The school, in Misbourne Lane, said they experienced a "major power failure" on Tuesday (22/9) with students only being allowed to go home if safe to do so.
Others are having to remain at the school until parents can be contacted.
Telephones are down at the school but it is expecting to open as normal on Wednesday.

Charity street collection

IAIN Rennie Hospice at Home held a successful street collection in the village on Saturday, September 5.
The charity raised £294.07 and would like to thank all those who donated.

TWO cycling enthusiasts took to their bikes in a 300-mile challenge to in a bid to make their church more environmentally-friendly.
Will Dixon, 14, and Helen Biggerstaff, 44, rode through gales during the ride of their lives to raise funds for a £42,000 renewable energy project at St Peter & St Paul Parish Church in Great Missenden.

House fire victim named

A WOMAN who died in a house fire in Hazlemere last week has been named.
The 58-year-old woman who was found dead in the house in Fallowfield has been identified as Jeanette Gladys Martin of Fallowfield, Hazlemere. Her next of kin have been informed.
