Pippa Bannister, 39, of Hare Lane, Little Kingshill, is determined to participate in this May's Playtex Moonwalk 24 hour walk event in central London.
Mrs Bannister, who has successfully been treated for the disease, has been so resolute in her approach that she has personally recruited a 26-strong team for the Playtex event, the funds from which are handed on to the registered charity Breakthrough Breast Cancer.

Mrs Bannister is hopeful the team's combined exertions will ultimately raise several thousands pounds. Her personal target has been set at £1,000.
The team meet at least twice a week for training walks and each participant has been putting in at least 20 miles a week as the clock ticks down towards May.
Housewife Mrs Bannister, a mother of three daughters, sends all of her children to the Gateway School in Great Missenden which has been supportive of her endeavours.
The bulk of the team comprises mothers of Gateway children with the remainder of the squad comprising friends of Mrs Bannister.
"Having been diagnosed with breast cancer myself in January 2008 I have experienced the most unbelievable support from friends family and professionals this past year, " said Mrs Bannister.
"I decided I wanted to give something back and am participating in the moonwalk event. On a personal level I am touched at the sheer numbers of people who have given up their time to train and support me in raising funds."
Accompanying Mrs Bannister to central London in May will be husband Chris, 41, who works in banking, and who is a stalwart backer of the campaign.
