Vicar and village hall celebrate makeovers
A Great Missenden vicar is toasting two special makeovers - one of the village's rebuilt Oldham Hall and the other a TV appearance next week with ITV style guru's Trinny and Susannah.
Reverend Rosie Harper, of the Parish Church of St Peter and St Paul will appear in Trinny & Susannah Meet their Match on ITV1 at 8pm on Tuesday, January 13 after receiving a summer style makeover.
The show is the first in a new series which sees the presenters Trinny Woodall and Susannah Constantine apply their expertise to three different groups - dog lovers, sex bombs, and Mrs Harper's group - Country Ladies.
She said: "It was two days of fun, taxis everywhere, and Susannah actually stayed at our home in Old Amersham and met the family, she was nice."
"It was a random phone call which sparked it off and I was delighted to do it and to get permission. Susannah was very considerate and kind."
Mrs Harper, married to Amersham vicar Tim Harper, is also toasting the complete refurbishment of the 200-year-old Oldham Hall which was devastated by fire 11 months ago.
It will officially be re-opened on Saturday (10/1) showing off its new kitchen, sprung floor, windows, and roof, to help turn the hall into a function suite.
Mrs Harper said: "We now have an all singing, all dancing, establishment which we hope the public will race to hire.
"What happened was upsetting but this is a new start. On Saturday there will be a re-dedication service in the presence of Arch Deacon Karen Gorham and, in the evening, there will be a church family party."
The repairs have cost £50,000 in addition to a substantial insurance pay out.

Loved the hair styles from the programme
featuring Rosie Harper. Thought the transformation of the lady who ended up wearing amber dress by Reiss was amazing. If possible may I have the name of the hairdresser who worked on her and the other ladies.
Many thanks,
Margaret
PS Rosie's husband, Tim, was the vicar who performed 'The Order of Service' for both my sister-in-law and father within the last 6 months.
