Eurodisney trip for children
Trustees of the Prestwood-based Thomas Ball Children's Cancer Fund organised another pre-Christmas trip to Eurodisney.
Nine families journeyed to Paris on Eurostar from St Pancras and the children, all of whom are sufering from life-threatening illnesses, had a wonderful time at the resort.
Trustee Elaine Ball said: "As well as the variety of rides and attractions the children watched the spectacular Disney Christmas parades and were enthralled with the mixture of Disney characters annd the outstanding Christmas illuminations that shone throughout the park, "
The journey home saw Disney gifts for all and some magical memories that will last forever.
This was the charity's fourth Christmas Disney trip and the visit was paid for by one generous donor who has pledged to underwrite next year's effort to the tune of £12,000.
During 2009 the charity will continue its efforts to raise cash for a holiday respite lodge at New Milton in Hampshire.
To date £30,000 has been raised towards this aim and further fund raising efforts have been planned for the New Year.
